動いているものも静止しているものも、この世で目にするものはすべて、アートマの顕れです。このアートマは、「エルーカ」、すなわち認知と呼ばれます。この認知は、すべてにおいて「わたしのもの」という感覚を生じ、それは「わたし」、すなわち「アハム」として表現されます。この「わたし」が肉体と重なるとき、それはアハムカーラ（エゴ）の姿となります。これはミティア、すなわちまぼろしと呼ばれるものです。こんにち人々が必要とするものは、真の自己であるアートマを理解するための不屈の精神です。アートマ・ジュナーナ（自己の知識）を通して、人はアートマ・アーナンダ（アートマの至福）を得ることができます。

All that you see in the cosmos, the moving and the stationary objects, are manifestations of the Atma. This Atma is called "Eruka" or Awareness. This Awareness produces in every being the sense of "I-ness" and it expresses itself as " I " or "Aham". When this " I " identifies itself with the body, it takes the form of Ahamkara (ego). This is what is called Mithya or Delusion. What man needs today is the resolve to realize the Atma, one's true self. Through Atma-Jnana (knowledge of the self), man can experience Atma -Ananda (Atmic bliss).
